I
was born with a gift for visual thinking and for explaining things to
people. My journey has included art lessons in a variety of media
(including confectionary art),
going back to school for a graduate degree in Education, and a variety of
work experiences training and facilitating meetings -- all of them
peppered with graphics to enhance clarity.
I can’t help it – I think in pictures! Many – if not most – of us respond to images easily and quickly. Pictures help people understand and remember, and I show people how to use images to express their ideas, whether in a PowerPoint® presentation or on a flipchart with a marker. As the familiar cliché says, "A picture really is worth a thousand words." So

Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Diverse Solutions has been providing training, facilitation, and graphic solutions since 1997. Clients have included UNC Hospitals, First Health Services, UNC Chapel Hill, Manchester USA, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC, Computer Service Partners, Career Aspirations, Spherion Human Capital Consulting, Strategic Talent Group, Tech Resource Group, Blue Sage Group, and others. Founder and owner, Ellen Divers, blends her background in training and a talent for graphic design to facilitate understanding. Since childhood, she has expressed herself graphically, and now she brings this visual perspective to her work with clients. Born in the United States and raised in Argentina, Ellen is fluent in Spanish and uses her talents to raise awareness of how mental models vary between cultures. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of University of Richmond, Ms. Divers received a B.A. in Psychology and Women's Studies. She completed an M.Ed. in Adult Education/Training and Development at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993. Link to resume.
